6-foot leash. Not on the lifeguarded beach in summer. The northwest area (right of the parking lots facing the water) is closed to pets April 1 to October 15.

Cape Cod National Seashore: the rule in full

Pets are allowed on a 6-foot leash, but not on lifeguard-protected beaches in summer (they may pass through on a leash) or in posted shorebird areas. Some areas close to pets every year from April 1 to October 15. Beach signs take priority.
