Oregon State Parks (ocean shore): the rule in full

Pets are welcome on most Oregon ocean beaches and may run free if under direct control (within sight and responsive to commands); always carry a leash. Inside state park areas, and on the beach in front of Cape Lookout State Park, a 6-foot leash is required. In snowy plover management areas (about 40 of 362 miles) no dogs at all, even leashed, from March 15 to September 15.
